(GMA News) The average number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the National Capital Region (NCR) dropped by 30% to 1,644 over the past week, the OCTA Research Group said Saturday.
In its latest report, the OCTA Research also said the reproduction rate in the NCR decreased to 0.57 while the positivity rate went down by 12%.
A reproduction number of one or higher is an indication of the continuous transmission of the virus.
The OCTA Research also reported that the average daily attack rate (ADAR) in the region decreased to 12 per 100,000.
According to the group areas with ADAR higher than 10 per 100,000 is classified by the Department of Helath (DOH) as high risk.
Meanwhile, Navotas, Malabon, Manila, and Caloocan decreased to below 10 per 100,000, which are classified as moderate risk by the DOH.
