3 Filipino Companies Make it to List of World's Best Workplaces in 2021
(Esquire Philippines) In the world post-pandemic, reputation is just as important as profit margins when it comes to business. Potential workers, investors, and even the general public are looking for companies that provide work-life balance, competitive benefits, and an overall good experience for their employees. The pandemic and almost year-long lockdown in some countries have emphasized the employer’s impact on the employee’s quality of life, and we predict that importance will only increase in the years to come.

In the latest Forbes list, the business magazine partnered with market research company Statista to find the best workplaces in the world in 2021.

Three Philippine companies made the list: Jollibee Food Corp. at 256th place, Ayala Corp. at 487th place, and Aboitiz Equity Ventures at 665th place. The three local companies are the only Philippine businesses to make it to the list, which says a lot about employee satisfaction.

Forbes and Statista surveyed 150,000 full-time and part-time workers from 58 countries working at international companies. The participants were asked to rate how much they’d be willing to recommend their place of work to friends and family, and to evaluate other employers in their industry.

A total of 750 companies made it to the Forbes list, with 236 coming from the U.S. alone. Germany was the next most represented company with 91 companies, followed by China with 57.
