(The Manila Times) CHINA, the world’s biggest producer of hydro power and solar panels, wants closer renewable energy cooperation with the Philippines, a visiting ranking Chinese official said on Sunday.
Liu Jianchao, minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, has identified four “key priority” areas of cooperation that Beijing intends to further develop: agriculture, infrastructure, energy and people-to-people relations.
Liu, a former Chinese ambassador to Manila, is on a three-day visit to the Philippines.
“We are ready to work with the Philippines in energy sectors. We have the largest hydro power generation in the world,” he said.
