(ManilaTimes) Despite bowing to defending champion Japan, 1-9, at the end of the Women’s Softball Asia Cup elimination round on Friday, the Philippines still claimed a spot in the prestigious
2024 Women’s Softball World Cup.
The Blu Girls ended their preliminary round games with a 5-3 win-loss record and will vie for the bronze medal against either China or Chinese Taipei at the Songdo LNG Stadium in Incheon, South Korea on Saturday.
Aside from the regional title, also at stake in the tournament are three automatic berths for the 2024 Women’s Softball World Cup.
