(CNN Philippines) Metro Manila — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will be invited to the coronation of Britain’s King Charles III on May 6, British envoy Laure Beaufils told CNN Philippines on Thursday.

Speaking to The Final Word, Beaufils said the UK has already sent the chief executive a “save the date” notice for the coronation.

“We would love to see the president in the UK and he will be getting an invitation. In fact, we’ve already sent him a save the date for the coronation of His Majesty the King which will take place on the 6th of May,” the ambassador said.

(GMA News) Bilateral trade between the United States and the Philippines was expected to hit record-breaking levels last year, according to US Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson.

“While the final numbers aren’t in yet, total trade in 2022 will top $33 billion—a record,” the envoy said at a recent meeting with the Makati Business Club.

Bulk or over $21 billion of the total trade were the Philippines’ exports to the US.
