“Raw land. As in, bukid ito, e. Farmland.

“But when I saw the place, when I saw the view, I fell in love. Wow, ganda.

“Between living there [city] and living here [Calamba], it’s a world of difference.

“Kasi doon mainit. Puro semento. Di fresh air,” aniya ukol sa siyudad.

“Unlike dito, malamig. So anlayo talaga, and then super tahimik.”

Read More

MRT3 passenger capacity back to 100% starting March 1, 2022 —DOTr

MRT3 passenger capacity back to 100% starting March 1, 2022 —DOTr
(GMA News) Passenger capacity in MRT3 will be increased to 100% from 70% starting March 1 when the National Capital Region is downgraded to Alert Level 1 from Alert Level 2.

MRT3 carries 1,182 passengers each train set or 394 each wagon, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said Monday. Each train set is composed of three wagons.

(The increase in train capacity is due to the expected increase in demand for public transportation amid the opening of more establishments in Metro Manila.)

The DOTr reminded passengers that minimum public health standards will still be strictly observed, which means talking, eating, drinking and answering phone calls will remain prohibited inside the trains.

Passengers are still required to wear face mask while wearing of face shields will remain voluntary, the DOTr said… Read More

The PNP’s anti-corruption unit received 261 information reports last year about the activities of police scalawags, 181 of which were validated.

The IMEG also worked on 17 intelligence packets involving corrupt police personnel.

Duterte still not endorsing a presidential bet: ‘I’d like to stay neutral’

Duterte still not endorsing a presidential bet: 'I'd like to stay neutral'
(CNN Philippines) Metro Manila — President Rodrigo Duterte is still not endorsing any candidate for the country’s top post, saying he prefers to “stay neutral” for now.

In an interview with Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar aired Friday, Duterte said he’s “not in a hurry” to name his preferred successor, stressing that the interest of the Filipino people is at stake.

“I may or I may not, but preferably, I’d like to stay neutral,” Duterte told Cabinet Report. “Ibig sabihin, wala akong susuportahan na kandidato (Meaning, I won’t support any candidate).”

“Unless, again, there’ll be a compelling reason for me to go out and tell the people what it is,” he added. “I would like to bide my time. I’m not in a hurry.”

Prior to the start of the campaign period, Duterte said he won’t be supporting any candidate yet — even if some of them have already “communicated” with him.

His party PDP-Laban is left with no standard bearer after Sen. Bong Go dropped out of the presidential race.

Pressed further about the matter, Duterte admitted that the ruling party could not find anyone for the post. “Simply because wala rin kaming makita (we couldn’t find anyone),” he said… Read More
